Our vision:
Gosford Hill is a school where students feel safe and happy and achieve the highest standards possible within a culture of continuous improvement. Inspirational learning and teaching is at the heart of what we do and our environment is both welcoming and stimulating. There is a powerful student voice and decision making at all levels is strong. There is a sense of belonging within a true learning community – where we are all learners.
Support, challenge and high expectations are essential ingredients for continued success and self evaluation is at every level. Leadership throughout our school is developed, encouraged and celebrated. Our school maxim is ‘Learn Lead Inspire’. Independent thinking is encouraged.
Parents and carers are our partners in ensuring every student reaches his or her potential. We work with the local community and other agencies to improve outcomes for our children and young people.
International links are fruitful for both staff and students with an agenda for innovation and exchange of ideas for further improvement. There is a real determination to widen horizons and the latest technology is embraced.
Governors support all levels of learning and are an integral part of the school’s success. We celebrate all achievement and encourage all learners to make a positive contribution to the school, local community and wider society.
Resources are efficiently and effectively deployed to support purposeful teaching. Our curriculum focuses on student needs and encourages life long learning. Physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, moral, cultural and personal development is central to both our formal and informal curriculum.
Progress through encouragement and personal accountability are central to the ethos of our school. Young people, parents, staff and Governors are proud to be associated with Gosford Hill.
