Year 11 Prom at Tally Ho Hotel

For the second time the Year 11 Prom was held at the Tally Ho Hotel, which was a suitably impressive venue for such an important and prestigious school event.

With the gorgeous weather and blue skies, the guests started arriving in an array of amazing vehicles ranging from Sport to Vintage cars, Tandem bikes and Harley Davidsons. We even had the traditional Yellow and Red kids trike, (adult version).

The Year 11 students have a particular eye for fashion with each dress and suit looking as glamorous and as dashing as the next. Their photos were taken in the beautiful surroundings of the venue as they arrived, with many more parents/carers and friends joining in with the paparazzi!

The evening started with a delicious two-course meal in a wonderfully decorated dinner suite. This was followed by the award presentations including best arrival, best dressed, best hair and many more. The awards were completed with the announcement of the Prom King and Prom Queen of Gosford Hill School, 2018 – Izzy Hedges and Josh Pipkin.

The couple received their awards and crowns, cut the hand-made cake and then very elegantly took to the dance floor for their first dance. The dancing for all then started and the photo booth was open! Photos can be viewed by using the following link:

The students were an absolute credit to the school, their families and most importantly to themselves as they danced the night away at a truly unforgettable evening. Many staff also joined in the meal and the fun.

A great night was had by all and I cannot thank you all enough for making it so wonderful. A very special thank you to Miss Brimble and the Prom committee also as they worked to help make the event so special.

Thank you and good luck in the summer, Year 11!

Hayley Curtis, Prom Organiser
