Year 7 Rounders Tournament - 12th June 2018

This week the Year 7 A and B teams took part in the Level 2 North Oxfordshire Tournament held at Gosford Hill School. There were eight schools in the A team tournament and three in the B team tournament. The A team’s fielding was exceptional often stopping players scoring at second base (Fiona) and showing some brilliant catches (Inish and Charlotte). Their consistent hard work in batting to pick up half and whole rounders resulted in a draw on points with BGN. However, we had less players ‘out’ so took first place. The B team ‘smashed’ the opposition and easily walked away with first place. A fantastic result. Player of the tournaments: Inish and Godgift. A special thank you to sixteen Year 8 and 9 students who helped Mr Smith run the event. The Year 7A team now qualify for the Level 3 County Final Rounders Tournament on July 3rd 2018 at Horspath.
