Uniform update for parents

Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you for your support with the alterations to uniform during the extreme weather

With fresher conditions returning, the following will apply tomorrow ( Friday 23rd June onwards)

- Normal school uniform will be worn, however students can choose whether or not to wear a blazer
- Coats/jackets will not be worn instead of a blazer
- Shirts will be tucked in, and ties worn properly (with buttons done up) Subject staff may give permission for students to remove ties during lessons if hot
- Girls are to wear trousers unless they have a knee length tailored skirt with lining/pleats as sold by the school suppliers. Staff have expressed concerns regarding girls maintaining their dignity at school - skirts being worn recently have been unacceptable eg) too short, lycra/tee shirt material
- A small stud in each ear and a wristwatch are permitted. No ear rings, nail varnish, false nails, bracelets of any sort or nose studs are allowed in school
- Students attending school without appropriate footwear, they will borrow school shoes from the student managers

Please could you check your son/daughter's uniform and that they are prepared for school.

Uniform checks will happen in school on Friday, and students informed of any changes that are needed for the following Monday. If they are not respected, students will be isolated.

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Mr N Sellars Headteacher
