High School Musical

High School Musical was selected while we were on the Creative Arts trip last year as everyone knew and loved all of the songs and the characters, it was a joint effort between staff and students and I hope you agree it was a great decision. We had record numbers of students audition and had another large cast so the singing and dancing was more impressive than ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating and directing this year’s play and have found the student’s energy and enthusiasm for performance to be truly inspiring. We had students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12 involved this year and for a large number of those it was their first school production. We tried to create, yet again, another innovative set for you and rearranged our performance space to recreate the atmosphere of East High.

We  had record numbers of tickets sold this year and have put the money raised to great use by purchasing new speakers so the singing and band can be heard so much more clearly and have invested in new microphones for the cast.

I would just like to say a big 'Thank you' for buying tickets and supporting the students at Gosford Hill School.

Mrs H Whitford – Head of Creative Arts Faculty
