Rotary Youth Speaks Competition

This year, we entered two teams into the public speaking competition at Wychwood School in January. Ellie, Caitlin and Yemi’s theme was the global distribution of wealth. Jay, Aaron and Chelsea spoke about body image. Both teams spoke with confidence and clarity. One of the judges was particularly impressed with Ellie’s speech and spent extra time with our two teams encouraging them about the importance of young people and especially young women getting their voices heard in public. It was a very interesting evening and the students certainly feel more confident about speaking in public.
